What would you like to know?
There's been much talk about branding, but exactly how does an author do that except to say; Here's my work, I know it's good, I hope you do, too?

It's not a simple as that, I know, but there still begs that question - what is my brand?

Why do I need a brand?

It's supposedly so I can attract, engage and convert.

I still don't see how I can do that..

So then, I thought that if I write something about who I am, then others may be interested - how I'll guide folks to this website etc. um, I'm not quite sure.

Okay, I'll stop pontificating (an author trait) and try to attract you.
Something obvious - I love to write!

Reading, of course, comes a close second because, in my opinion, it educates, informs, takes you on flights of fancy and widens your vocabulary - yes, it teaches us so much about how to write and jump starts the imagination.

Fantasy is my favourite genre because I can make it up and get away from rules...and have fun!

Maybe just as obvious - I like to create in many different ways:

Designing book covers, crafting cards, scrapbooking, encaustic art (wax and an iron), 3D art, multi-media art, drawing, painting - all that kind of stuff.

Not so obvious - I like gardening, though my back would argue that point.

I enjoy great stories in other formats, including the cinema, TV or on stage.
Dislikes - regards writing

Misuse of apostrophes
Corruption of the English language
Badly written stories
Sexual content when not necessary in stories.
Erotica

As for the rest, um, well I can only go by what I think of me and what others have said...

I'm -

Kind, loyal, patient (sometimes), impatient (sometimes), intelligent (I think therefore I am and all that) and try to help others if I can.

I am cynical about the world in general and what humans have done to the planet and each other.

I am opposed to corruption, racism, hatred, selfishness in the extreme (yes, we can all be selfish) and intolerance.

I have no respect for politicians, corporations and their constant greed, people who abuse power, takers or those who tread on the shoulders of others.

I do think there is a mystery to the world, although, I do not believe in God. I think humans created the idea of a god to explain existence. I also consider that religion is used as a weapon and is separate from faith.

Sometimes, I feel as if I'm hanging on by a thread. Yes, this is a reflection of what my life has been like, in particular to what happened to my daughter (the reason I wrote Gone and Slings & Arrows).

My husband keeps me sane though agrees I'm weird. - there's love for you.

So, what else would you like to know? has any of this attracted you to my work?
